The broad gauge V/Locity train sets are designed for short to medium haul regional trips. The modified broad gauge vehicle scope includes a new facelift, updated drivers cab, bicycle and accessibility improvements and a new auxiliary power system. The standard gauge V/Locity train sets are designed for the longer haul trips and are set to replace the previous classic locomotive-hauled fleet. They incorporate further changes such as a new catering facility, USB chargers on seats, lighting system upgrades and additional accessibility spaces.
